What fun creating cards can be!

 

In this card, I used some of my favorite things.

Lost Lagoon Classic Stampin' Pad - Item 133644

Filigree FrameTextured Impressions Embossing Folders – Item 135818

The detail you get from this embossing folder is incredible.  This folder creates a great accent for any project and costs only $7.95

 

 

Lost Lagoon 3/8"Silky Taffeta Ribbon – Item 135841

Ribbon adds so much to a card, especially this beautiful one. You can purchase 10 yards for only $5.95.  Yes, I said ten yards!

 

 

 Lost Lagoon Cut & Ready Card Bases– Item 137094

These are a great way to save time!  They are cut, pre-scored and ready to go. You will have enough to create 20 standard sized cards (4¼" x 5½”), for $4.95.

 

Silver Glimmer Paper – Item 135314

Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack – Item 133787

A star was cut from the sparkly Silver Glimmer Paper using a punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and then adhered to the top of the tree. You always need a little bling on a card!

A season to be Grateful

  Living in Indiana means

I get to enjoy the beautiful colors of fall. 

Surrounded by these gorgeous colors,

puts me in awe of the wonder of God's creation. 

I just love autumn!

 

 

 

 

While enjoying the great colors of the season,

I felt inspired to create the following cards. 

 

This time of year is filled with

colorful leaves and the dropping of acorns.

 

Can you see how I was influenced? 

 

 

Thanksgiving

is just around the corner,

so be sure to let those around you know how thankful you are

to have them in your life!

 

Who are you grateful for? 

 

I couldn’t decide which way

I wanted my card to lay out to be,

so after I created the one above

I had to try doing

one this direction too! 

 

I am still not sure

which one I like more.

The Reason for the Season

As we enter into this busy time of year, let us not forget what the reason for the "Christ"mas season is!  This month’s photopolymer release, Gentle Peace (item #139523), was designed by our ever-amazing lead illustrator, Kathy Pitt.  Stampin' Up! heard your feedback asking for a religious Christmas stamp set, and she created this incredible imagery along with some wonderful inside/outside sentiments. 

This set was designed to work with Blendabilities to create the effect of brightly-colored stained glass. We have to give a shout-out to Terri Allen for her masterful coloring of this stained glass window. With some simple embossing, the set also works well as line art if you need to make several cards quickly.

My daughter's Facebook post...

I gave my youngest daughter a Paper Pumpkin Subscription as a gift. 

I live in Indianapolis and she lives near Milwaukee, WI. 

I thought this would be a great way to share my love for stamping with her.

Boy, was I right!

 I am pleased with how this card came together.

It is a nice mix of pattern, texture and dimension.
The background is achieved with the use of the
Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. 

 

 

 

The Tree Punch

was used to leave a void in the Whisper White Cardstock

so that the

Nordic Noel Designer Series Paper

can peek through. 

It is difficult to see,

but the cardstock is raised up

to give the card even

more dimension. 
 

 

 

A star was cut from

Red Glimmer Paper using the

Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (star).
This Punch Pack is also my Clue for the LNS Treasure hunt 

 

To dress it up a bit,

Silver 1/8" Ribbon and

a Rhinestone

were added.
