I am excited to be
entering a new year.
I find it is a time
to reflect on the past year
and look forward to a new adventure.
I often think of the
butterfly as the perfect example of how we can transform ourselves from
something that may be viewed as mundane or unattractive
into some that is exciting
and beautiful!
This card is a
perfect example of
how the most simple
things
can be transformed
into that which is seen as elegant.
Notice how the wings of the butterfly were bent up from the body and then curved using the Bone Folder.
Take time to learn a lesson from
I used one stamp,
one
color,
one thinlits die
and one pearl,
yet look how it all
came together!
The card base is Naturals White cardstock.
I used Blackberry Bliss ink to stamp the Swallowtail image
on the card front.
The beautiful filigree butterfly was cut out of the matching Blackberry Bliss cardstock using our new Butterflies Thinlits Dies found in the Occasions catalog that goes live on Thursday.
Notice how the wings of the butterfly were bent up from the body and then curved using the Bone Folder.
This gives the card dimension
and creates interest.
I then used Tombo glue to adhered
the body to the center of the Swallowtail image and added a pearl for it’s
head.
Who would have guest
an ordinary caterpillar would transform into something so beautiful?
Take time to learn a lesson from
this unique
creature.
In 2015, look for the beauty
of the end product rather than getting distracted by the stuggles of the
current situation.
