Just For You!

Are you looking for a treat container to use for the up coming holiday or event?

This is the perfect solution!  Here I used the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits Die found in the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog and Window Sheets to create these clear treat boxes. Because you are starting with a blank slate, they can be used for any occasion. Just fill them with anything and decorate them to coordinate with the event.

I made these "Just For You" with fall in mind.  The sentiment is from the Banner Banter Set (sold in wood or clear).  Using the Autumn Accents Bigz die, the leaves were cut from Daffodil Delights and Cajun Craze and then sponged to give them a little variation in color.

I fill it with various fall colored candies.  Chocolate anyone?

Tree-mendous!

I am having so much fun designing cards using items from the new 2014 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. 

 

Today I used the Festival of Trees stamp set with the matching Tree Punch. 

 

The neat thing about these items (besides that they coordinated with each other perfectly) is that you can buy them as a bundle and
save 15%! 

 

 

 

 

On this card, I used the softness of the Naturals White cardstock contrasting it with the glitziness of the Silver Glimmer Paper and the Silver ribbon. 

 

I used the star punch from Itty Bitty Accents Pack (My clue for the LNS Treasure Hunt Blog Hop) to cut the silver stars for the tree tops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Lucky Stars Embossing folder makes the perfect background for this card.  By sponging lightly across the embossed cardstock with Marina Mist ink the background stars just seem to pop out. 

 

 

The blues used on this card

remind me of the clear starry nights that we can experience here in Indiana on a cold winter night. 

I hate to admit it,

but I love to experience the changing seasons!

Grateful For You!

Give Thanks For All Things! 

What a great standard to live by. 

The stamp set “For Al Things” is a great stamp set featured in the Stampin’ Up! 2014 Holiday Catalog.  It comes in both wood and clear-mount. To make this card I used Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip, and Crushed Curry inks for a true fall feeling.  

I love the fall with all the beautiful colors. 

Some of my favorite things to do in the fall include …

·         Visiting pumpkin patches

·         apple picking with my with my four children when they were young and then repeating those memories surrounded by my grandchildren

·         raking leaves and then jumping in them

·         road trips to see the autumn colors

·         canning favorite foods and the list goes on… 

I have an awesome family

·         a wonderful husband

·         four awesome children and their four delightful spouses

·         our 11 incredible grandchildren!!

 

I am so blessed and give thanks for each of them! 

As I made this card, I was reminded that I truly am grateful for every one of you who has taken time to support me in my business!  Whether you are a customer, one of my down line, a friend, family member or a person who just happened across my blog, I appreciate your support and encouragement.

I am so excited about all of the variety of stamp sets in the
2014 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. 

I will be featuring a few of them over the next couple of weeks.

 

Today's sample card uses

 White Christmas, Item # 135767
found on page 31 of the Holiday Catalog. 

 

This set has so many elements that can be used in a variety ways.  

The stamps can be used together to create a complete scene or used separately to accent any card. 

These stamps, used individually, are great for making gift tags too!

 

 

Here you can see how I added the Merry Christmas Banner so it looks like it is hanging from the trees. 

 

I also have one bird perched in one of the trees and another standing on the banner itself.  

 

You can add whatever elements that you desire making your own unique scene!

The 2014 Fall Late Night Stamper Treasure Hunt Blog Hop

Do you like to play games?  Would you like a chance to win a prize?  Do you want to see awesome card ideas, learn techniques and be inspired?

Then this “Treasure Hunt” is for you!

All you need to do is visit the blogs listed below and look for their official clue. 

 

Hint: It will be an item that is from the 2014 -2015 Stampin’ Up! Catalog and it will be posted near this “official” LNS Treasure Hunt Blog Hop Logo. 

Each blog will have a different clue.  You may have to look for a while on some blogs, but it’s there!   

Be sure to keep track of all the clues and which clue was found on each of the listed blogs.  When you have collected all of them, send one of the participating demonstrators an email with your completed list and your name and address (no later than November 15).  We suggest you submit it to a participating demonstrator that lives in your area, but you can email it to anyone with a blog on the list.  I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in Indianapolis, IN and I would be happy to help you with this Treasure Hunt.  You can submit your entry to me at Simnickhol@aol.com.  I will check to see if you have all of the blog addresses listed with their correct corresponding clues, then I will enter your name into the official drawing for the Grand Prize.

A Blooming Birthday Card

What a wonderful color combination this card uses.  The Blushing Bride cardstock is really complimented by the Early Espresso ink.

 

 

The Stamp from the Bordering Blooms set is simple but elegant. 

But what really makes it pop are the flowers that are punched out using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (my clue for the Treasure Hunt). 

 

I added pearls for that finishing touch!
